A 30V 7Ah Lighting Battery Pack
with Integral Charger

Used and highly recommended, by three of the UK's biggest names in broadcast television for nearly 12 years, these ergonomic 30V lighting batteries have been proven to be extremely reliable and rugged enough for us to be able to guarantee the cells for 2 years, the charger for 5 years and their ABS case for life. We can also state that to date we have not received a single complaint about them, everyone who has them is completely satisfied.

A. The shape of the battery is curved like a binocular case to follow the contour of the body unlike other designs that are flat with a curved moulding at the rear which are bulky in use.

B. The output connector area of the case has been angled so the connector plug is in-line with body and does not dig into the body or protrude to the outer side causing a hazard. The LED charge indicator is almost flush with panel to ensure against breakage.

C. Mains Voltage standard IEC 3 pin input socket with switch for 100/240V input.

Average run time (30V, 250W light head): 50mins

Construction: 5mm Fire retardant ABS with a smart hard wearing 1000 denier textured nylon carrying case, incorporating a pocket for carrying spare filter gels.

Cell Specifications: SANYO KR7000 F cells, mounted in two separate banks each with their own end covers, for maximum protection from inter-cell connector breakage, so much so we have never experienced a single failure. Also available with 10Ah Sintered Nickel Metal Hydride cells.

Output: a 4PIN XLR wired to your configuration, fused at 10A.
The output also incorporates an over discharge circuit that switches the battery off prior to it being run down past its recommended voltage, this does not reduce the run time, it comes in only when all the power in the battery has been used and is there only to protect the battery from being seriously over discharged.

Integral Charger: Constant current , switchable between 110V and 230V input.
Toroidal Transformer with MOSFET power regulator.
Input via a fused (3A) standard IEC socket .
Charge indication is by means of a Bi colour LED Flashing RED indicating charging cycle, constant GREEN indicating ready, charge time approximately 11 hours.
At the end of charge the charger switches to float current allowing all the cells to be balanced. The charger also incorporates both a timer and a thermistor to ensure the cells are never overcharged.
